Payment and cancellation policy

Signing up & payment
You can register for one of our courses or tours by filling an on-line application form. After completing your registration, we will send you an invoice via e-mail. You can pay via bank transfer or via Paypal with your credit card. There is no surcharge for credit card payments. If you pay via bank transfer – with no extra costs for Photothema – you’ll receive a 3.5 discount for all payments above € 100.
We will send you a booking confirmation once we have received your payment. Payments in cash prior to a workshop or tour are only possible upon request. Together with the booking confirmation you will receive details of the program, meeting points, how to get there and important phone numbers. For additional information on the program, or payment and accommodation prior to your booking, please contact us by phone, e-mail or by using the contact form.

What happens when there is no sufficient number of participants?
Workshops and tours within Amsterdam do not require a minimum number of participants. Once you have received a booking confirmation you can be assured that the photo workshop will take place. In case you book a workshop or tour with a minimum number of participants, we will only send you an invoice when we have reached that minimum.

Cancellation
In case you need to cancel, you can pick a new date without any costs within one year of the originally planned workshop or tour. You can also ask for a refund:

  • More than 4 weeks prior to the workshop: full refund minus an administration fee of €15
  • Between 4-1 weeks: 50% refund
  • Within 1 week: no refund; you receive a voucher to book a new workshop for free within one year.
  • We kindly ask you to submit your cancellation in writing, and as soon as known.

    Cancellaton by Photothema
    In case Photothema cancels a workshop or tour you have booked and paid, you always receive a full refund. Please note that in case of cancellation from our side, we only refund the fee paid to us, and not your travel expenses to the Netherlands. Photothema is not responsible for any delays to your travel arrangements due to strikes, weather conditions or other causes, for accidents, for health problems or any damage or loss of your photo gear and other luggage while attending our workshop. We advise you to travel with a good and valid insurance.
